The news came out in the new “Breaking Free” book that goes through the Walker’s like and his mental illness. That’s all news to me,” former Georgia coach Vince Dooley said in Friday editions of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “All I know is whatever personality he had when he had the football was the one I liked.”

With the football season coming to a close it is time to honor one of the best teams of the season – New England Patriots. The team has made history not only for the year – but also for all of NFL history after they ended their perfect season of 16-0. After receiving a sever spinal cord injury Kevin Everett ( Buffalo Bills tight end) was afraid that he would never walk again. It seems that luck was on his side. After under going a strenuous amount of therapy at the Houston rehab center we are happy to hear that he has begun to walk again. “He doesn’t have a full natural stride but, yeah, he’s walking,” a person close to the family told The Associated Press on Friday. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of Everett’s status.

NFL Mourns The Loss Of Sean Taylor

The year 2007 has been tough on the NFL. There have been scandals, anger, sadness and it isn’t over. Sean Taylor – player for the Washington Redskins – was murdered at his home after someone tried to break into his home and shot him down.

Adrian Peterson Suffers Torn Ligament

Adrian Peterson – player for the Minnesota Vikings – is going to be missing the game on Sunday against Oakland after receiving a torn ligament in his right knee during their recent game. Coach Brad Childress stated that while the injury will keep him out of the game he will not need surgery – which means that he will be able to return quicker.

Indianapolis Colts Looking For Another Super Bowl Win

Tony Dungy, the coach for the Indianapolis Colts, has had a year of luck. Between a super bowl ring and a best seller he is feeling pretty good about himself. “Yeah, I was going through the offseason feeling pretty good about everything when my wife and I were in the bookstore,” said Dungy. “Then someone from the bookstore came up to me and said, ‘It’s so good to have you here, Coach Edwards.’ … The Lord has a way of keeping you humble.”

Faulk Ends His Career In Football

Marshall Faulk was unable to play last season due to a knee injury that threatened to end his career. He will officially end his playing days for football on Monday when he announces his retirement at the NFL owners meetings. Faulk was the NFL Most Valuable Player in 2000 and Offensive Player of the Year three years running from 1999-2001. The 34-year-old was a big help for the Rams to let them win their only Super Bowl after the ‘99 season. He is ninth on the career rushing list with 12,279 yards and tied for sixth with 100 rushing touchdowns.

Superbowl XLI was one of the biggest this year. It was full of anticipation between both sides of the crowd, wondering who was going to take home the victory this year. It was a tight game and won that kept you in mystery wondering who was going to come out on top.
