Quinton “Rampage” Jackson Released From Prison

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson is the former champion for the light heavyweight division in the UFC. On July 15th he was arrested in Costa Mesa, California for a hit and run, reckless driving, and evading the police. The cops were forced to chase Jackson by car until he stopped.

“I’m not allowed to say everything,” Jackson told interviewers on Thursday in his first interview since the arrest. “I was hurt by some personal problems I had. It caused me not to eat and not to sleep. Emotional, yeah.”

Fans Outraged By Early Stop Of Kimbo/Thompson Fight

There are many fans of MMA (mixed martial arts) that believe that Saturday night’s fight with Kimbo Slice was fixed. The fight was stopped by the referee Dan Miragliotta during the main event. This gave Slice the win in a fight that many believed he was losing.

The fight was ended 38 seconds into the third round. The scorecards read that Slice was down points to opponent James Thompson by two of the judges. The third judge had split the first two rounds. The fans were not happy about the decision and made this clear all over the Internet.

Chris Leben Replaced For Next UFC Showdown

UFC announced this week that they will be replacing Chris Leben with Jason Day for the June 7th event at the 02 Arena in London. Leben was scheduled to fight Michael Bisping – but was told that he will not be released from the Clackamas County jail until May 27th. This does not leave him enough time to get into shape for the fight.

Mark Cuban Files Suit Against UFC

Billionaire Mark Cuban is the owner of the famed Dallas Mavericks and the HDNet cable station. He is in the process of filing a lawsuit against the UFC pertaining to the status of the broadcasting and promotional contract for Randy Couture.
