Mark Cuban Files Suit Against UFC
Billionaire Mark Cuban is the owner of the famed Dallas Mavericks and the HDNet cable station. He is in the process of filing a lawsuit against the UFC pertaining to the status of the broadcasting and promotional contract for Randy Couture.

“The lawsuit filed by HDNet Fights asks the Texas court to provide the company with declaratory relief — a ruling on when Couture’s promotional contract will expire, A favorable ruling could clear the way for a highly anticipated showdown between Couture and Fedor Emelianenko this fall, potentially promoted by HDNet Fights.”
Couture has said that he plans on waiting for his fight contract (ends in July) and his promotional/broadcasting contract (ends in October) to expire so he can fight for other MMA organizations. However, the UFC has come out and said that Couture’s contract will not end until he fulfills his contract, which is for two more fights.
